Ok First thing first and probably the most touchy subject going around recently. Tanks that is right We all love those tanks but There is one issue with them. They can tank a whole lot of damage, well they are supposed to do so. Otherwise they would not be tanks. The main issue that I can tell with them is their mobility. I know that this will be off topic however I will go off topic a small amount. Present day we do have tanks that can reach high speeds for instance The american A1 Abrams tank can reach speeds slightly above 67km/hr (42 mph) on paved roadways or 40km/hr (25 mph) and these might seem slug speeds for a tank but you have to look at the fact that the tank has a weight of 60.78 metric tons. now bringing it back to topic Tanks are built to be a terror on the battlefield and take and dish out considerable damage. The issue that is present to tanks in dust after 1.7 is that they can take more damage than what they should with the speed that they can travel. As of now all a Tanker has to do is time his/her hardeners and **** the enemy combatants without worry, the reason for this is that they can "chicken out" because of their increased speed and their ability to use speed boost modules. My personal opinion is that the tanks should lose their speed buff, That would eliminate a lot of the tank stomping that is happening now. The reason is simple, they cant just run away from the on foot combatants. Also this would help with "the more tanks win the match" issue.
My second subject is on Installation turrets. I think that the ability to use them as a foot soldier is great however I am seeing more and more that people are sitting in their respective redline's for the whole match using the rail and missile installations. The reason why I think this is bad is because the Basis for this game is working together to accomplish goals and hopefully win the battle (Yes I am taking into consideration to new players and the infamous "blueberry"). But the issue is there, I think that the redline turret Installations should be tweaked. The two ideas I have would be, Making the said Installations AI only(I think this would be the best case for it would Reduce "redline players"), Giving the said Installations the same Ammo system that vehicles have now and when they run out they have a cool down before ammo regen( This however should not effect If the turret is not manned and the AI is in control).
I am also going to ask that If you are going to criticize what I have suggested please be constructive about it. I am tired of seeing people sit there and complain about the problems and bash CCP and or people who actually trying to suggest things that could help the game. If you have nothing nice to say please don't bring it to this section of the forums, we all want to make this game better so please try to be considerate and constructive about it. |
